The UK NEQAS for Vitamin K Scheme is in the process of transitioning from Synnovis Analytics LLP, operating the Vitamin K External Quality Assurance Scheme (KEQAS) to Birmingham Quality. The transition will be complete by 1st January 2023.

Please contact Birmingham Quality if you have any queries for the 2023 registration period. Birmingham Quality is continuing to offer the Vitamin K and pilot analytes. The pilot analytes (as listed below) are not accredited to ISO/IEC 17043:2010.

KEQAS Standard Reference Material-2 (SRM-2) is a serum reference material for validation of methods measuring vitamin K1 (phylloquinone). It is available to purchase from the Nutristasis Unit, Synnovis. Please contact Ella.freke@gstt.nhs.uk or Nathan.timbrell@gstt.nhs.uk for further information.
