Objective of Scheme Provides EQA coverage for Total Bile acids. Total Bile acid testing is performed in the diagnosis and monitoring of Cholestasis in Pregnancy.

The scheme provides both endogenous specimens and specimens manipulated by the addition of the primary bile acids, cholic acid and chendeoxycholic acid to cover both normal and pathological concentration ranges in serum
