EQA for Point-of-Care HbA1c

Birmingham Quality has a wide-ranging point-of-care (POCT) suite, including HbA1c, which gained ISO/IEC 10743:2023 accreditation by UKAS in 2020.

If you are using a POCT instrument for the monitoring or diagnosis of diabetes, participation in external quality assessment is vital for confidence in your decisions. It is strongly recommended by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency.
